A family of three that loves to travel.

Follow the three of us, Brad, Krista and Cole, as we video blog (Vlog) our sailing adventures aboard our 42' Fountaine Pajot Catamaran Saltair3.

Enjoy our Blog and Youtube Channel as we sail to new countries, see new sights, and delve into new cultures while trying exotic foods along the way...

Click the YouTube logo to see our latest video or watch us from the beginning and see how it all unfolded and evolved into where we are today...

To our Vancouver Island friends watching us on SHAW TV, we hope you subscribe  to our channel and then go back and see how this whole adventure unfolded (right from our last days in Saltair near Chemainus) by watching our earlier videos on Youtube.

In 2012 while living in Saltair on Vancouver Island, we started the discussion about our passion for travel and our passion for sailing.

Could we do both? Could we sell everything and safely sail around the world? Well, around the world seems like a long way and there was sooooo much to discuss about making this life changing, well... change.

In 2015 we decided to sell almost everything we had in search of a simpler life. We traded it all for a life free of Big Box consumerism and the gerbil wheel we were caught up in.

We chose to school our son Cole ourselves taking in cultural adventures every chance we got, and we have been loving the life ever since...

Come along and see what it's like living a simpler life aboard a sailboat. Come with us as we explore new countries, dive into new cultures, meet new people, and try new local foods. Live vicariously through our eyes as we meet the challenges of living a life on the sea...

Click the map above to take you directly to the website www.marinetraffic.com

This website tracks all boats by using their AIS signature. Not all boats have an AIS transmitter, it's usually an upgrade larger boats tend to have and Saltair 3 does.

Type Saltair 3 into the search bar and you will be taken to our last reported location. Click Past Track and find out where we just came from and where we are now!

NOTE; As we get farther and farther away from land our AIS signature will fade but it will come back the closer we get to land.

Where have our viewers come from...

We use GoPower 3000 inverter for our everyday electrical needs aboard Saltair3 and we couldn't be happier! Good clean power!

Our Mantus anchor bites and holds like no other!

We sleep well everynight

knowing we will NOT drag.
